The Monkey Bread Tree Film Awards has announced THE WORKSHOP as an Official Selection in their 2017 Screenplay Contest. My script is a psychological drama that deals with a vet suffering with PTSD after returning from the Gulf War. There are quite a few roles and this would be an excellent launch project for actors and actresses trying to get noticed.
The script competition for unproduced material is split into three categories: best genre piece, best technique, and best micro budget material. I’m confident my script could be filmed for less than $10,000 if actors would be willing to take back-end deals instead of upfront money. I see a potential gross in excess of 1 million dollars if the marketing is adequate and THE WORKSHOP receives positive reviews.
